Dallas/Fort Worth Area

The Dallas/Fort Worth area in northern Texas encompasses Dallas (the state's third-largest city) and Fort Worth (the state's fifth-largest city) plus and at least 10 other cities into a large regional metro area. The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport lies between the two cities. The region offers an array of attractions and activities including museums, theme parks, zoos, entertainment districts, shopping, dining, arts, professional sports, and more.

Fifteen airports service the DFW metro, from award winning international and national airports (DFW and Love Field) to regional and private jet facilities including Addison Airport. The M-line streetcars, or McKinney Avenue Trolleys, connect Dallas' Uptown neighborhood with downtown's Dallas Arts District. Family-friendly entertainment includes the city's most famous visitor site, the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, and others: the Meadows Museum, Six Flaggs, Dallas World Aquarium, Dallas Heritage Village, African American Museum at Fair Park, Tour 18 Golf Course, Texas Discovery Gardens and Dallas Zoo.
