There are three campgrounds within Big Bend National Park; only Rio Grande Village Campground offers full-hookups for 25 rigs; 100 RV sites are available in total. The Basin Campground offers 63 sites and Cottonwood Campground offers 31 sites. Rio Grande Village overnighters appreciate the well-stocked nearby camp store, laundry facility, bathroom, and showers. Fuel is also available. From Rio Grand Village, guests stroll directly to the banks of the Rio Grande River. Outdoor excursions include kayaking, rafting, hiking, birding, picnicking and sight seeing.

Twenty-five (25) of the RV sites in the Rio Grande Village Campground have full hook-ups. Make reservations for these sites at 877-386-4383.

Seventy-five (75) of the RV sites in Rio Grande Village Campground do not have full hook-ups but many provide a barbecue. Between mid-November and mid-April reservations are required for ALL RV and camp sites in Rio Grande Village OR Chisos Basin. Reservations are made by calling 1-877-444-6777 OR at www.recreation.gov. The rest of the year the sites are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis. NOTE: Big Bend National Park does not accept reservations for campgrounds directly. Guests have access to water and lighted restrooms on site. However, there are no showers except at bathrooms located at the Rio Grande Store.

Group campsites are reservable year round, up to 360 days in advance; family-type sites, up to 180 days in advance. Cottonwood Campground is first-come, first-served at all times.

PET POLICY: Pets are allowed for FREE at all campgrounds; however, they are NOT ALLOWED on the Park's walking trails. Pets must remain on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for picking up waste.
